>These are some of my favorite photos of my friends and family. The first photo is of my brother, Andy, and my father just before one of the best valley quail outings on the “Dishner” property in Idaho. The second photo is of my great friend and partner in crime, dog trainer Gary Ruppel, from Kiowa, Colorado. We were hunting birds (2007) in Eastern Montana. The third photo is of my brother Andy and of our life long family friend, Matt Lucia. Finally the last two photos are of my bird dogs, and very best friends…the first one is of Gep (an Elhew Pointer with tons of style and range) and the last one is of my English Setter, Gretchen (a New England Cover Dog!). These photos of my dogs were taken on one of the best scaled quail hunts of the 2007-2008 Colorado quail season. It was the Saturday before Christmas and I couldn’t resist getting out after a winter snow storm. We had the place to ourselves (the girls and I) that day. We moved 10 honest coveys of quail. What a glorious day and some incredible dog work. I will dream about that day forever.
