>How about human obesity? The dogs get it from us. My rule of thumb on a short haired dog like Pride is I want to see ribs. Long haired, I want to feel ribs under that rug! The best tool for dogs and people is measuring cup, spoon and kitchen counter scale. And a bathroom scale for us "brighter" mammals.
