I was very fortunate to meet Aaron Brown from Sparks, Nevada a year ago…IMO he is the very best quail taxidermist that I’ve seen! I saw a pair of his mountain quail for sale on eBay, and we struck up an instant friendship from our mutual love of bird dogs, upland birds, and the wilds that they inhabit! I’ve heard it through the grapevine that Aaron is a dyed-in-the-wool mountain and Mearn’s quail hunting FOOL! I really appreciate his work…I was hoping to have a pair of Mearn’s done by Aaron last year…maybe I’ll shoot straighter next year! Aaron’s website (Natures Own Wildlife Studio)is worth checking out, or he can be called at (775) 233-4540. Below are some examples of Aaron’s fine work including the Colorado white-tailed ptarmigan that he mounted for me last season! I plan to some day follow my setter and Aaron in search of the beautiful mountain quail!
>Shawn, Love that Ptarmigan mount! That is one game bird that most in the lower forty never harvest. I also love that sharptail mount. How much does he charge to mount a grouse?Andy
